Dear folks,
I’m so excited to have you all on board!
(please don’t share this page with anyone)
Regarding accommodation, I highly recommend staying in the Kadikoy and Moda areas. They are among Istanbul's most western-friendly, laid-back, and less crowded areas. Kadikoy has some of the best light towards the end of the day, as does Uskudar, which is also located on the same side of Istanbul. At the heart of Moda, you can also find many antique shops and great restaurants of all kinds, including many options for those who are vegan or vegetarian.

TRANSPORT
Upon your arrival, it's essential to obtain an "Istanbulkart" to access public transportation. This card allows you to load credits, which can be done either with cash (recommended) or a debit/credit card (note that exchange rates aren't the most favourable in Turkey). Unless you have online banking options like Wise or Revolut, I recommend bringing cash for better value.
